Since 2013

Soha Sharif was born in Iran and she absorbed the richness of this ancient culture. Growing up in a modern society still strongly touched by antique traditions, including distinctive dance forms, and inspired by Persian traditional aesthetics, Soha worked assiduously to explore and rediscover the obscure roots of this ancient dance tradition and its special forms. Besides this passion for dance, academically Soha studied Software Engineering and earned an MBA. She later studied Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP) and earned an NLP technician certificate. She studied psychology and the work of Carl Jung. She has been active in research and development in the field of Robotics for many years. Through these various disciplines, Soha has explored the functioning of the human brain and the qualities of human movement. Seeking to grasp the wider context of dance, Soha closely studied dance forms in Iran and various regions in the lands that surround Iran, including India, where she spent time learning Bharata Natyam. After years of traveling and studying among various ethnographic groups, she has amassed a large repertoire of traditional dances and an extensive knowledge of traditional costumes, rites and customs. Her training has also included Ballet, Flamenco, Latin American dance forms, and ethnic dances of Central and South Asia.

She believes The rhythm drives the forces of life  and audiences will feel the breath from dancers movements. Dance renders into the connecting form and virtual forms.

Since 2013

Dr. Hooshang Bagheri, a native Iranian holds a Ph.D. and M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction – Since and Math Education, M.A. in Movement and Dance studies and B.S. in Physical Education from University of Oregon and Wesley University. He is an Emeritus Professor of Elementary Education and Kinesiology at California State University, Northridge, teaching movement, dance, math, since education, and supervising students teachers in credential programs. He has taught elementary schools in Oregon and done post – doctoral work at Syracuse University Early Childhood Center in New York. As an interdisciplinary Professor and former professional folk dancer, he enjoys using dance, music and drama as a cultural, technical, and creative approach in education of teachers and children…
He has 25 years experience in education.

Since 2013

Siamak Sharif studied Industrial Engineering in Tehran. Siamak managed more than 50 projects mostly in software field in last 16 years. He successfully organized teams for develop and implementation.
He is utilizing his management skills in Vasht to promote Iranian Heritage.

Since 2014

Shirin studied Nutrition and then Fashion designs, costume and pattern making in Tehran university, she has found about her talent as Fashion Designer since she was a teenager.
She has designed different fashion collections. “Negarestan” is one of her projects. This couture collection is based on ancient Iranian’s paintings which is called Negargari or Miniature.She has tried to bring all the beauty of these paintings to the stunning women’s couture dresses and costumes as well as accessories and styles.

Since 2019

Arash Rod has worked as a professional film crew and cinematographer on more that fifty feature films in Iranian cinema with accomplished film makers and Cinematographers including Asghar Farhadi, Bahram Beyzaee, Dariush Mehrjouie, Hossein jafarian, Mahmoud Kalari and Bahram Badakhshani and he has studied Photojournalism in the US.

He has worked as a freelance video journalist, video editor, and video producer for different news outlets, and different organizations including Voice of America (VOA),  BBC Persian, Reuters, Farsi One, Persian Media Production and Farhang Foundation on more than 700 reports and documentaries during past 12 years in the US and abroad.

Arash lives and works as a freelance Video journalist in Los Angeles, California.

Since 2019

Mehrsa has been part of the Vasht since 2015 who is more active recently, and She is passionate about dance and the arts. Besides her passion for dance, she has two Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering and Cellular Biology. She is currently a doctorate student in Biomedical Engineering at the University of California, Irvine (UCI). Her knowledge about cells movement and their resonance in body, encourage her to get more involved in dancing.She assists Vasht with her management and arrangement skills as the assistant director.

2014 – 2019

Ramin Barzegar has gain his B. A. in Industrial Design and he more than 30 years of experience in lighting design of ancient monument in Iran such as Arg-e Bam, Persepolis, Borje Toghrol and many more. These lightnings are meant to create a better atmosphere in respect to the historical era of the places as he knows the value of these monuments. He also worked in a lot documentary about ancient world same as” Iran – E – ma, Ab, Bad, Khak about aqueduct in Iran, Gereh about Persian carpets. Here is Africa, A river to the heaven about India and much more.

2015 – 2017

Forouzan Jalilifar, is one of the foremost make up artist, costume and set designers working in Iranian cinema and television since 2003. Forouzan Jalilifar has studied performing arts at high school in Tehran and then continued her education at Tehran university of Fine arts and got her BA. degree in 1994. her talents are in high demand in her native country of Iran. Few of her many experiences on feature films are Par-e-Parvaz(2000), Dokhtar-e-Irooni (2002), Khabzadeha (2013), and TV Series like, Mard-e-Hezar Chehreh (2006), Ghahve-e-Talkh (2010-2012).

2015 – 2017

Sadina Pira has decade of experience in management. One of her major research is in methods of human Sciences field. In 1997 she gain BA of Educational management& planning at Esfahan University then Master and PhD. Degrees of Educational Management in Tehran. She has background of teaching in Azad university of Eslamshahr and Saveh. As an Educational and organizational adviser and Holder of membership of Iran management association she aim to collaborate with Vasht projects.
